How many chumps would a humper hump if a humper could hump chumps?
I went to google "why does my dog hump me" and "how to stop my dog from humping my legs", shuffling through forums after forums for answers.
Among the many reasons I found (doggy loves me too much/to increase serotonin levels i.e doggy euphoria etc...), I think this is the most relevant one.
He does it because in his mind he does not have a clear picture of you being the alpha in your pack and he is trying to assert his dominance on you.
